John Satterthwaite Sr.'s Obituary
John Jacob Satterthwaite, Sr., age 69 passed away on May 11,
2016 at his home. He was born November 30, 1946 at Shafter,
Illinois, the son of Donald L. Satterthwaite and Annetta (Gephart)
Satterthwaite. He married Nancy Williams on December 4, 1965 and
they later divorced. He was a lifelong self-employed farmer and
resided in the Brownstown, Illinois area. He was a devoted Father,
Grandfather and Great-Grandfather.
John is survived by daughter, Delores Annetta "Lori" Hewerdine
and husband Ray; son John Jacob Satterthwaite, Jr. and wife
Melissa; son Patrick Evan Satterthwaite and wife Kaci; daughter in
law, Kathy Brown, widow of Sean Satterthwaite, and husband, Michael
and their children; grandchildren Sheldon Sean Satterthwaite, Jr.
and wife Allison, Katy Jo Satterthwaite and companion Ben Cripe,
Shane Hewerdine and companion Summer Stow, Lukas Hewerdine, Ella
Grace Satterthwaite, Asa Patrick Satterthwaite, Lillian Marie
Satterthwaite, Jonah Arthur Jacob Satterthwaite,
great-granddaughter Amelia Jo Maxine Satterthwaite; anticipated
great granddaughter, Emma Jean Satterthwaite; brothers Donald
Satterthwaite, Jr., Harry Satterthwaite and wife Michelle, Robert
Satterthwaite and wife Lynette; sisters Loretta Stamps and husband
Bob, Margaret Satterthwaite, Susan Fox, and Rebecca
Satterthwaite.
Mr. Satterthwaite was predeceased by his son, Sheldon Sean
Satterthwaite, Sr.; his parents, Donald and Annetta Satterthwaite;
grandparents, Harry and Grace Satterthwaite and Orville and Nellie
Gephart.
He will be greatly missed by his close and loving family.
Services will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at
Liberty Christian Church, rural Brownstown. Visitation will
be held from 5:00-8:00pm, Monday, May 16, 2016 and 1 hour prior to
services Tuesday at Liberty Christian Church, rural Brownstown.
The family will hold a private burial at a later time.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
