Jon Larson's Obituary
Jon T. Larson, 52, of Bluff City, IL passed away at 1:02am,
Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at his family home.
A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00pm, Friday, July 12,
2013 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. At the
request of Jon's family he was cremated. There will be no burial at
this time.
Jon was born January 10, 1961, the son of Russell "Dale" and
Edith (Kauffman) Larson. He married Carla Sue Mason on June
21, 1980 in her living room at her home in Bluff City. He was
a Correctional Officer at Centralia Correctional Center - IL
Department of Corrections. Before Jon's passing it was his
goal to landscape and decorate is new home in Bluff City. He
had accomplished that leaving behind many flowers and rose bushes,
and several varieties of bird feeders for his family to enjoy for
years to come.
Jon is survived by his wife Carla, daughters Tiffany Hipsher and
Tine Larson, and three grandsons Blake, Dathan, and Landon Hipher,
all of whom live in Bluff City.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers Richard
and Roy Larson.
