Judith E. Phelps' Obituary
Judith E. Phelps passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at her home in Hillsborough, NC, after a brief illness.
Judy was born February 19, 1943 in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Carl and Bertha Newlin. She married Herb Phelps on June 28, 1969.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brother, Carl; and sisters, Joyce, Janet, and Becky.
She is survived by her daughters, Susan and husband Tony Willms, Melody and husband Frank Lach, Abby and husband Jake Harre, Shannon and husband Alan Lurkins; son, Brad Phelps and wife Linda; brothers, Floyd Newlin and Darrel Newlin; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Judy was a member of Parkview Free Methodist Church in Vandalia and New Heart Church of the Nazarene in Hillsborough, NC.
A Private Graveside Service and Interment will be held at McInturff Cemetery, Vandalia, at a later date.
