June Ann Holliday, 75 of Ramsey, IL, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, in SBL Fayette County Hospital, Vandalia.
A private family graveside service officiated by Rev. Fr. Seth Brown will be held in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Second Chance Animal Rescue or Fayette County Animal Control. Online condolences can be expressed at https://www.hohltandfilefh.com.
June Ann Holliday was born November 25, 1950, the daughter of Walter K. “Hap” and Kathleen D. “Kay” (Jeffers) Holliday. The Holliday family settled in Ramsey, IL in the early 1950s, June, along with her two older brothers graduated from Ramsey High School. While starting a family of her own June worked at Crane Packing and later at All-Steel in the shipping and receiving department. She loved watching her children play sports when they were younger, and even played in a woman’s softball league herself. June loved being outside, watching her grandson play baseball and taking her dogs out, the love of the outdoors contributed to her year-round tan.
June is survived by her daughter, Christy Curry and husband Jeff of Alma, IL; son, Danny Meyer and wife Kristy of Fairhope, AL; grandsons, Chandler Meyer and Lucas Curry; sister-in-law, Becky Holliday of Daphne, AL; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Molly Meyer; brothers, Walter “Happy” Holliday, George “Pidge” Holliday; and sister-in-law, Ruth Holliday.
