June Ann Svendsen, 75, of Moweaqua, IL passed away at 5:15 PM, Thursday, November 18, 2021 at her home.
A Graveside Service and Interment will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at Taylor Cemetery, rural Vandalia, IL with Pastor Brian Hay officiating. Ms. Svendsen was born on June 28, 1946 in Salem, IL, the daughter of Charles Hayes and Agnus (White).
June had various jobs over the years; she was a taxi cab driver, caregiver, and eventually had her own in-home healthcare business. She loved to crochet, knit, and of course spend time with her grand babies. June was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Decatur, IL.
She is survived by her son, Dan Krohn and wife Dana of Taylorville, IL; daughters, Leslie Svendsen with Robbie Conaway of AL, Rose Jones of Springfield, IL, and Jamie Svendsen with Jody Howell of Oreana, IL; brother, Charles Hayes of TN; grandchildren, Shannon and husband Dayton White, Patrick Underwood and fiancé Abby, Aaron Underwood, Robert Hay and fiancé Brittany, Nevaeh Howell, Paris Murphy, Jody Howell Jr., Kenneth Howell, Zoey Howell, and Korbin Howell; and her pride and joy, great-grandson, baby James Underwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Randy Krohn.
