Kathryn Holaday's Obituary
Mava Kathryn Saunders Holaday, 93, of Vandalia passed away at
7:10pm, Thursday, December 25, 2014 at Fayette County Hospital Long
Term Care.
A Memorial service will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, January 3,
2015 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL with a 1 hour
visitation prior to the service.  Burial to follow in Fairlawn
Cemetery, Vandalia.  Memorials may be made to the First United
Methodist Church of Vandalia. 
Kathryn was born December 29, 1920 in Xenia, IL, the daughter of
Francis M. and Ethel Lewis Saunders.  She married William W.
Holaday March of 1941 and he preceded her in death April of
1994.  Kathryn was homemaker, member of the First United
Methodist Church; she enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. 
She is survived by sons Paul and wife Betty Holaday, Fargo, ND
and Morris and wife Kay Holaday, Vandalia, IL; daughter Nancy and
husband Steve Chace, Bloomington, IL; grandchildren William and
wife Pam Holaday, Minneapolis, MN, David and wife Cindy Holaday,
Fargo, ND, Darren and wife Kelly Holaday, Fargo, ND, Susan and
husband Clark Durbin, Vandalia, IL, Brian and wife Amy Holaday,
Vandalia, Diane and husband Jeff Isringhausen, Vandalia, Daniel and
his wife Angela Chace, Columbia, IL and Neil and wife Adelia Chace,
St. Louis, MO; great grandchildren Makala Holaday, Stephanie Bosch,
Jessica and Kristopher Holaday, PJ and Lucy Holaday, Amber, Abby,
and Austin Durbin, Mackenzie Graumenz, Matthew and Eric Holaday,
Issac and Avery Isringhausen, Emily and Amanda Chace, Cecilia and
Francis Chace; great-great granddaughters Avery and
Alivia Bosch and great-great granddaughter  Amelia
Graumenz due in February.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and daughter
Frances Holaday, 3 brothers and 4 sisters.
