Kenneth Lange's Obituary
Kenny E. Lange, 65, of Vandalia passed away at 1:09pm, Friday,
November 21, 2014 at his home in Vandalia.
Services for Kenny will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, November
25, 2014 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vandalia with Pastor
Jerry Bagwell officiating. Visitation will be held from
4:00-8:00pm, Monday, November 24, 2014 at Holy Cross Lutheran
Church in Vandalia and 1 hour prior to services Tuesday at the
church. Burial will follow funeral at Fairlawn Cemetery,
Vandalia. Memorials may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church
or Vandalia Senior Citizens Center.
Kenny was born August 17, 1949 in Vandalia, the son of Elmer
George and Floreine Elaine (Lotz) Lange. He married Nancy Lee
Skelton December 18, 1971 at Augsburg Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Kenny was the owner/operator of The New Hub Clothing Store before
working for Illinois Department of Transportation in Effingham,
from which he retired. He was a very activemember and trustee
ofHoly Cross Lutheran Church Vandalia, a member of Effingham Credit
Union Board and a member of the Vandalia Senior Citizen Center
Board. Kenny loved sports of all kinds, especially the St.
Louis Rams and St. Louis Cardinals, he himself played on many
champion softball teams in the Fayette County area over the years;
he enjoyed working in his yard and spending time on the lake, but
most of all he was a wonderful and loving grandpa.
Kenny is survived by his mother Floreine Lange of Vandalia, wife
Nancy Lange of Vandalia, son Jeremy Lange and wife Angela of Glen
Carbon, brother Denny Lange and wife Lisa of Augsburg, sister
Barbara and husband Joe Darnell of Vandalia, grandchildren Emily,
Sarah and Jaxon Lange and nieces Jamie and Katie.
He was preceded in death by his father Elmer Lange.
