Larry Leininger's Obituary
Larry Wayne Leininger, 73, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 7:08 PM, Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at his home.
A Private Family Graveside Service and Interment will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 20, 2020 at Farmer’s Cemetery, Shobonier with Rev. Doug Wodtka officiating. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.
Mr. Leininger was born on May 07, 1946 in Streator, IL, the son of Merle and Evelyn (Wyant) Leininger. He married Judy Ann Seaton on November 13, 1971; she preceded in death on February 25, 2012. Together, they shared 40 years of marriage and raised two sons.
Larry was a retired corrections officer for the Fayette County Jail and was a member of Overcup Baptist Church, Vandalia.
He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Leininger and Timothy Leininger, both of Vandalia; sister, Loma Leininger of Aberdeen, MD; and brother-in-law, Mike Seaton and wife, Linda of Fillmore.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and sister, Mary Ann Hoffman.
