Larry Nalley's Obituary
Larry J. Nalley, 73, of Vandalia passed away at 8:45pm, Friday,
August 30, 2013 at Fayette County Hospital.
Services for Mr. Nalley will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday,
September 4, 2013 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with
Rev. Dave Hall officiating. A visitation will be held from
9:00-11:00am, prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. Memorials may be
made to Evans Public Library Book Fund.
Larry was born February 22, 1940 in Lincoln, MO, the son of
Woodrow W and Loretta B. (Koonce) Nalley. He married Judy S.
Ray on December 1, 1979 in Vandalia. He was a heavy equipment
operator for Local 520 Operating Engineers, Swansea, IL, where he
also was a member. Larry was an avid lover of classic
cars.
Mr. Nalley is survived by his wife Judy Nalley of Vandalia;
daughters Robin and husband Jeff Sturgeon of Patoka and Lisa and
husband Doug Jones of Vandalia; grandchildren Joey Sturgeon, Darren
Jones, Macy Jones, and Drew Jones.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Richard Nalley
and Ronald Nalley, sisters Kay Nalley and Karen Boudreaux.
