Lawrence Ivan Swofford's Obituary
Lawrence "Ivan" Swofford, 84, of Vandalia, died at 8:42
p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at St. John's Hospital in
Springfield.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday at
Noffsinger Cemetery in Mulberry Grove, with the Rev. Doug Wodtka
officiating. There was no visitation. Memorials: The family
of mr. Ivan Swofford.
Mr. Swofford was born on April 25, 1929, in Pittsburg, the
son of Lawrence Jefferson and Oma James Swofford.
He is survived by a daughter, Sherry and her husband Gene
Schneider of Port Charlotte, Fla.
