Linda J. Fisher, 75, of Vandalia, IL, passed away at 11:55 AM, Sunday, November 27, 2022 at SBL Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care.
Per Linda’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services held at this time. A Private Family Interment will be held at Pilcher Cemetery, Brownstown, at a later date. Linda Joyce Frailey was born on December 13, 1946, in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Delbert Frailey and Betty (Rine) Crews. She married Carl E. Fisher on October 27, 1998; he preceded in death on December 09, 2001.
Linda was a phlebotomist; employed at Fayette County Hospital for 30 years. She had an avid love for her job and her work family. Outside of work, Linda lived a simple life and was somewhat of a homebody; though she did enjoy her shopping sprees to find her many collectables. Linda forever cherished the time spent with her family and friends.
She is survived by her mother, Betty Crews of Vandalia; sons, Rodney Manley and Rick Manley, both of Vandalia; sister, Barbara and husband Randy Doggett of Brownstown; half-brother, Gerald “Dean” Frailey and wife Sue; half-sisters, Sandra Pruett and Jacquelyn Childress; grandchildren, Meaghan Manley and Jagger Manley; nephew, John DuFaux and wife Georganne; nieces, Cindy and husband Dan Lutz and Stephanie Dufaux.
Preceded in death by her father, Delbert and husband, Carl.
