Madeline (Causey) Evans Blake, 93, of Vernon, IL passed away
Sunday, January 4, 2015 at Good Samaritan Regional Hospital in Mt.
Vernon, IL.
A Memorial service will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, January 7,
2015 at Northside Christian Church, Vandalia, IL with Rev. Carl
Rhodes officiating.
Madeline was born November 14, 1921 in China Grove, NC, the
daughter of Charles and Bertha (Williams) Causey. She married
Royce Kenneth Evans August 4, 1940; he preceded her in death in
1965.
Madeline worked as a waitress over the years while raising her
twelve children.
She is survived by her sons Curtis Evans, Bobby Evans, Charles
Evans, Gerald Evans, Donald Evans, Troy Evans and Richard Evans,
daughters Betty Litaker and Margie Litaker, several grandchildren,
great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Kenneth
Evans and Gary Evans, daughter Carolyn King, sisters Sue Hamilton
and Annie May.
