Margaret Elaine Dunn's Obituary
Margaret Elaine Dunn, 83, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 3:15 PM, Wednesday, January 08, 2020 at HSHS St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, O’Fallon.
In accordance with Elaine’s wishes, there will be a Graveside Service and Interment held at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Noffsinger Cemetery, Pleasant Mound with Rev. Doug Wodtka officiating. Memorials may be made to Noffsinger Cemetery.
Margaret Elaine Dunn was born on September 21, 1936 in Avena Township, the daughter of Wilhelm and Edna Viona (Lawyer) Forster. She married Melvin D. Dunn on August 31, 1953 in Sandoval. Together, they shared 43 years of marriage and raised three children. He preceded in death on September 13, 1996.
Mrs. Dunn was a homemaker, beautician, and also a nurse. She was previously affiliated with the Methodist faith, but most recently attended Overcup Baptist Church, rural Vandalia. Elaine was a
Woman of the Moose, Vandalia Moose Lodge #1447 for over 30 years.
She is survived by her sons, Daniel Dunn and wife Shawn of Yellville, AR and James Dunn and wife Clareen of Mulberry Grove; daughter, Margaret and husband Dan Lallish of Ramsey; grandchildren, Treasa Lallish, Tracy Parsons, and Tammy Rhoades; and great-grandchildren, Martina Rhoades, Cassidy Rhoades, Toby Richards, and Ryder Richards.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, William Forster and Edward Forster; sister, Joanna Bozant.
