Margaret Wolf's Obituary
Margaret T. Wolf, 77, of Vandalia, passed away at 8:47pm,
Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Brookstone Estates in Vandalia.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10:30, Thursday, April 23,
2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, rural Shobonier with Pastor David
Hoehler officiating. Visitation will be held from
6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at Hohlt & File Funeral
Home, Vandalia and one hour prior to services Thursday at St. Paul
Lutheran Church, rural Shobonier. Per Margaret's request her
body will be cremated and ashes will be scattered by the family at
a later date. Memorials may be made to Fayette County Health
Department Hospice or to the Donor's Choice. Hohlt & File
Funeral Home of Vandalia is in charge of arrangements. Online

Margaret Theolene was born June 7, 1937 in Eureka, SD, the
daughter of Theodore and Margaret Grace (Axness) Straub. She
married Dr. Jerome W. Wolf on August 14, 1960 in Eureka, SD; he
preceded her in death on November 3, 2007. Mrs. Wolf was a
teacher, and over the years taught grade school and special
education and served as a substitute teacher for grades K-12.
She enjoyed gardening, birds, and all things dealing in nature,
especially rock formations and volcanoes. She loved babysitting
grandkids and playing bridge with her friends.
Margaret Wolf is survived by her children, sons Michael Wolf of
Chicago and David Wolf and wife Marcy of Wildwood, MO; daughters
Diane and husband Kenny Torbeck of Vandalia, Kathy and husband
Larry VonBehren of St. Peter and Charlotte and David Pugh of
O'Fallon, MO; sisters Charlotte Roe of Silverdale, WA, Kathryn
Knops of La Grange, IL, and Marie McMahon of Spokane, WA;
grandchildren Kristyn and husband Brian Rosenkoetter, Kayla and
husband Jake Etcheson, Jacob Torbeck and wife Jackie, Dane Torbeck
and wife Renee, Nikolas Torbeck, Jonathon Torbeck, Benjamin Wolf
and Alexandria Pugh; and great grandchildren Kaylee Rosenkoetter
and Edmund Torbeck.
She was preceded in death by her parents and
husband.
