Marjorie Thoman's Obituary
Mrs. Marjorie Thoman, 94, of Vandalia passed away at 9:50pm,
Sunday, April 12, 2015 at Fayette County Hospital.
Services will be held at 10:30am,Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at
Unity Baptist Church (Corner of 6th and Johnson former
First Baptist Church location) with Rev. Robert Weaver
officiating.  Visitation will be held from 9:00-10:30am,
Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Unity Baptist Church (Corner of
6th and Johnson former First Baptist Church
location).   Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery,
Vandalia.  Memorials may be made to Evans Public Library or
Unity Baptist Church.  Hohlt & File Funeral Home is in

Mrs. Thoman was born January 11, 1921 in Shobonier, the daughter
of Byron and Alice (Lester) Albert.  She married Floyd Thoman
March 25, 1938 in St. Charles, MO; he preceded her in death July
30, 1990.  She was a member of Unity Baptist Church formerly
First Baptist Church and was a homemaker, raising her three
daughters while her husband farmed.
She is survived by her daughters Mary and husband John Leidner
of Vandalia, Carol and husband Tim Moore of Moweaqua, and Jody and
husband John Burnam of Brownstown; grandchildren David Leidner and
wife Whitney, Michelle and husband Todd Schaefer, Matthew Moore and
wife Megan, Andrew Moore and wife Layne, Mark Burnam and wife Lisa,
and Jeff Burnam and wife Amanda; great grandchildren Ally Leidner,
Brendan Leidner, Meredith Schaefer, Ross Schaefer, Samuel Moore,
Emma Moore, Luke Moore, Nina Moore, Miles Moore, Zeke Moore, Carter
Burnam, Aiden Politte, Haven Burnam, Alex Burnam, Brooklyn Burnam,
Harper Burnam
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two great
grandchildren Katelyn Moore and Cade Burnam.
