On this thanksgiving I am remembering my Grammer. I’m thankful for the many memories I have with her. It gives me some peace to know that she is now in heaven with my brother, Trevor who also loved her very much. I always thought it was unique and special that they shared the same birthday, March 25th. Thank you for being a wonderful Grandma. Love you always! -Anna
i can remember like it was yesterday the first time i met my husbands mother . Driving from St Paul to Mary's apt in Superior i kept asking Jon - tell me about your mom do you think we will get along ? it was important to me as i kind of really liked this boy. We picked Mary up for our first New Years Eve dinner at Barkers Island in Superior and I instantly formed a bond with Mary when with my nervousness and a lil early menopause i had the worst hot flash ever ! i felt as if a bucket of water had been dumped on me. Here this kind soul looks over at Jon her son and casually says " Jon this is something you'll have to get used to cause it ain't easy being a woman" ❤️ Jon and i were engaged within 2 months and married that September.
Mary moved from Superior WI , to Norwood Young America in 2010 where she lived with Jon and i for almost 5 years before moving to Vandalia ,IL with one of her other sons Dan. Blending both of our familes we made many great memories that we will treasure forever. ❤️
There are very few people in this world who are genuinely loving- to the core of who they are. Grandma was one of those people. When you were in her presence you felt loved, you smiled and laughed and you felt cared for. If you were lucky enough to be part of Grandma Mary's life you knew this feeling. Grandma brought a special light to this world and she will be greatly missed. We love you grandma!
