Mary Dooly's Obituary
Ms. Mary J. Dooly, 94, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 8:02 pm,
Friday, November 30, 2012 at her home.
A funeral service for Ms. Dooly will be held at 1:00pm, Monday,
December 3, 2012 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with
Pastor Randy Sarver officiating. According to her wishes, there
will be no visitation.
Memorials may be made to McInturff Cemetery, Hagarstown, IL;
Pleasant Hill Village, Brethren Home of Girard, IL; or the American
Diabetes Association.
Ms. Dooly was born September 9, 1918 in Vandalia, the daughter
of Samuel J. and Clara A. (Simpkins) Dooly. She worked as a
sorter for the John Crane Company of Vandalia and was a member of
Hurricane Creek Church of the Brethren, Smithboro, IL.
She is survived by her sister-in-law Lucille Dooly, St. Charles,
MO; nephews and nieces; and Great and Great-Great Nephews and
Nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Daniel
P. and Arthur T., and sisters Martha E. and Daisy A.
