Mary Pryor's Obituary
Mary Katherine Pryor, 79, of Bluff City passed away at 6:30am,
July 6, 2016 at Aperion Care in St. Elmo.
A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, Sunday, July
10, 2016 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with visitation
from noon until time of service at the funeral home.  Burial
will follow in Farmers Cemetery, Shobonier.  Memorials may be
made to the Alzheimer's Association or Farmer's Cemetery.
Mary was born December 2, 1936 in Ramsey, the daughter of Albert
F. and Nancy E. (Stanbery) Depew.  She married Virgil Dean
Pryor on April 28, 1950 in Vandalia, he preceded her in death on
October 14, 2016.  She worked for the housekeeping dept at
Fayette County Hospital for several years; she also worked in
in-home health care. Mary loved to cook for her family and was a
collector of many things, some favorites being Christmas
decorations and house plants.
She is survived by her children Gary Pryor and wife Debbie of
Altamont, Sharon and husband Butch Reavis of Vandalia, Randy Pryor
and wife Becky of Vandalia, Rick Pryor and wife Kenette of
Brownstown, Mike Pryor and Betty Litaker of Vernon; sister Lois
Frailey of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Jason Pryor, Jeff Pryor,
Shannon Gelsinger, Shaun Pryor, Keri Kistler, Amanda Beall, Shelby
Leigh, and Matt Pryor; several great and great-great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, many of
brothers and sisters.
