Michael Allen Kretzmann's Obituary
Michael Allen Kretzmann, 62, of Vandalia, IL, passed away at 11:10 AM, Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Vandalia Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
In accordance with the family’s wishes, cremation rites will take place. Interment will be held at Glendale Cemetery, Fillmore, at a later date. Memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com
Michael Allen Kretzmann was born on September 19, 1959 in St. Louis, MO, the son of Robert Frank and Dorothy Lee (Brewer) Kretzmann. Michael worked various jobs throughout the years, he was formerly employed as a school janitor and also worked for FAYCO Enterprises, Inc. Michael had a big heart and cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews. He was very passionate for sports; an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburg Steelers.
Mr. Kretzmann is survived by his brother, Jerome “Jerry” Kretzmann of Vandalia; sister, Julie and husband Roger Myers of Effingham; nieces, Jennifer and husband Will Scott of Fenton, MO and Stephanie Stephens of Taylorville; and several great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; sister, Joetta; and nephew, Jonathan Tyler Denton.
