Patricia "Pat" Walton's Obituary
Patricia Louise Walton, 80 years old, passed away early Monday
morning, March 26, 2012 at her home in Mattoon, IL. She
was born April 20, 1931, in Ramsey, IL. Her parents were
Charles and Vida (Cearlock) McNutt, and Patty was the youngest of
their 8 children. Pat married Clarence "Red" Walton Jr., on
June 27, 1953. They were happily married for 58 years.
Pat and Red have been living in Mattoon, IL for the past seven
years. Previously they had lived in Vandalia, IL for many
years.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 29, 2012 at
Hohlt & File Funeral Home, 204 N. 4th St. Vandalia,
Il with the Rev. Ward Sussenbach officiating. Burial will
immediately follow in Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia.
Visitation will be held from 9-11:00 AM, Thursday prior to funeral
service. Arrangements by Hohlt & File Funeral Home.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Alzheimer's
Association.
Pat was a homemaker; she enjoyed going to Cardinal baseball
games, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. She cherished
the time she spent with her family; she was a loving and caring
wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be
missed so very, very much.
Patricia is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Clarence
"Red" Walton Jr. of Mattoon, IL; her daughters Susan and husband
Craig Clendening of rural Lerna, IL and Terry and husband Larry
Bridges of rural Charleston, IL; Three grandchildren, Tiffany and
husband Mark Smith of Arlington Heights, IL, J.R. Boyce of rural
Lerna, IL and Tricia Boyce of Charleston, IL; five great
grandchildren, Ryan Drum, Kaela Drum, Andrew Smith, Jaxon Boyce,
and Jace Boyce.
She was preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, two
brothers, and a grandson.
