Paul H. Baker Jr.'s Obituary
Paul Hamilton Baker Jr., 87, of Mansfield, IL passed away at 12:05 AM, Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
A Private Graveside Service and Interment will take place at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or you may plant a tree in memory of Paul.
Mr. Baker was born on December 14, 1933 in Minneapolis, MN, the son of Paul Hamilton Baker Sr. and Judith Diane (Grek) Baker. He married Judith Eakin on May 01, 1971; together they celebrated 50 years of marriage.
Paul was a retired systems analyst for State Farm in Bloomington and was also a cofounder of the Prairie Aviation Museum in Bloomington. He was quite the collector; Paul had an assortment of stamps, coins, Christmas ornaments, and pottery from over the years. He loved travelling and planting a variety of trees.
Paul is survived by his wife, Judith Baker of Mansfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Diane Baker Bragg; and half-sister, Katie Lynn Baker Harrison.
