Mark Bone
Marie was the one of the most kind, sweetest ladies I ever knew. She had a relationship with my grandfather, Carroll Bone, for some time while I was growing up from teenager to a young man. I know they enjoyed each other's company going bowling and mostly going dancing on Saturday nights. She was great to my Grandpa and she was so good to me and my brother, Matt, while we were working on the farm. Last time I saw her was several years ago at Walmart in Vandalia. She hadn't changed a bit. I am not surprised she lived as long as she did as she always seemed so youthful to me. She was always an extremely pleasurable woman with a beautiful smile on her face. My favorite memory was when the 22 inch snowstorm hit in January of 1981, my brother and I got "stuck" at the farm, as well as did Marie, at our Grandpa's house. She could cook a meal, I tell you. We were there for several days. She was great.
To her family, condolences on your loss. I am happy to have known Marie and wish you all God's comfort in knowing she is truly walking in Heaven.
