Robbie L. Turner, 61, of Brownstown, IL, passed away the evening of Wednesday, November 06, 2024 at SBL Fayette County Hospital.
Per the family’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM, Friday, November 15, 2024 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia. Inurnment will take place in Pilcher Cemetery, Brownstown, at a later date. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice. Robbie Louis Turner was born on January 09, 1963 in Vandalia, IL, the son of Hilton Edward and Mabel Geraldine (Willis) Turner. Robbie has spent the last 24 years with his significant other, Charlene “Joyce” Oldham and her son, Jacob Oldham, whom he helped raise. He worked various jobs throughout the years, including the saw mill in Vernon, PETCO Petroleum Co. St. Elmo, and was last employed by Graham Packaging Co. in Vandalia. Robbie never met a stranger and was willing to help anyone and everyone. He loved to fish and spend time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his significant other, Joyce Oldham and her son, Jacob Oldham of Brownstown; daughter, Casey Turner of Albemarle, NC; sister, Robin and husband Jesse Jackson of Brownstown; sister, Rhonda Turner of Kirbyville, TX; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family & friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ricky Leon Turner, and an infant sister, Regina Linette Turner.
