Robert W. Hill, 63, of Vandalia, IL, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at SBL Fayette County Hospital.
Per Robert’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, April 03, 2026 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home. Robert Wayne Hill was born on January 31, 1963, in Belleville, Illinois, to Ronald and Shirley (Grogan) Hill. He married Kathryn Ann Isenhart on March 3, 1995, and with this union he gained four children. The couple recently celebrated 31 years of marriage.
Robert was most recently employed by SBL Fayette County Hospital, where he worked in maintenance. Known for his humorous personality, he enjoyed listening to music, especially classic rock, swimming, and spending time with family. Family was central to his life; he cherished moments with his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, valuing family above all else.
He will be forever remembered by his wife, Kathryn Hill of Vandalia; daughter, Leanna Meyer and fiancé Jesse Wilkerson of Keyesport; sons, Jacob Becherer VI of Vandalia, Heath Henderson of O’Fallon, and Stacy Meyer of Centralia; brothers, Ken Hill and wife Carol and David Hill with Debbie; sisters, Pam Cox, Sherry Doyle and husband Bob, and Teresa Ellis and husband Brent; grandchildren, Austin Meyer, Daniel Kuhlmann, Sierra Curtner and husband Josh, Lexi Meyer, Ava Watkins, Jack Watkins, Brenden Redwine, Delcan Redwine, Bailey Wilkerson, and John Wilkerson; great-grandchildren, Parker, Sage, Leland, and Kalene; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ron and Shirley Hill; and brothers, Ron Hill, Steve Hill, and Danny Hill.
