Robert Anderson's Obituary
Robert E. Anderson, 79, of Vandalia, passed away Thursday,
September 25, 2014 at his home.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30pm, Sunday, September 28,
2014 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Rev. Robert
Weaver officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:30pm,
Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home,
Vandalia. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Van
Burensburg, IL. Memorials may be made to the donor's
choice.
Robert was born January 29, 1935, in Vandalia, the son of Emmett
C. and Ida L. (Greenwood) Anderson. He worked for Richardson
Greenhouse in St. Elmo for 40 years before retiring, Robert was
affiliated with the Methodist faith and loved to grow plants and
flowers.
He is survived by his sisters Marilyn and husband Bill Oger of
Vandalia and Louella Troeckler of Woodriver and many relatives and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother
William C. Anderson.
