Robert Taylor Sr.'s Obituary
Robert Taylor Sr., 71, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 8:59am,
Monday, November 5, 2012 at Fayette County Hospital ER.
A Graveside services for Mr. Taylor will be held Friday,
November 9, 2012 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia, IL with Rev. Joe
Lawson officiating. A visitation will be held from
1:00-2:00pm, Friday, November 9, 2012 at Hohlt & File
Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL. Memorials may be made to the
family of Robert Taylor Sr.
Mr. Taylor was born June 20, 1941, in Vandalia, the son of
Arthur Sr. and Irene (Ward) Taylor. He worked for the City of
Vandalia at Fairlawn Cemetery, he also worked for Shrine Memorial
Mausoleum and Vault Company, and the Brownstown Laborers Local.
He is survived by his son Robert Taylor Jr. and friend Betty
Kophazy of Vandalia; daughters Robin Steinkamp and the late Charlie
Steinkamp of Mulberry Grove, IL, Kelly Taylor and friend Steve
Carpenter of Brownstown, IL, and Valorie Stoecklin and friend Tim
Stoecklin of Mulberry Grove, IL; best friend Jody Jarrett of
Vandalia; Brother Kenny Taylor of Janesville, WI; 11 Grandchildren
and several Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Arthur Taylor
Jr. and Donald Blair and sister Elsie Parke.
