Robert Ward's Obituary
Robert J. Ward, 71, of Vandalia passed away at 12:03am, Friday,
December 11, 2015 at Vandalia Rehab and Healthcare Center.
Services for Mr. Ward will be held at a later date.
Robert was born February 16, 1944 in Greenbrier, Arkansas, the
son of Ausburn and Lucille (Cargile) Ward.  He married Linda
 Rine April 16, 1994.  Robert worked maintenance and was
employed by Crane Packing in Vandalia for 25 years, he served in
the US Army, and was a member Center Point Church and Eagles Lodge
#3901 of Vandalia.
He is survived by his wife Linda; son Jerry Ward and wife
Jeanette of Brownstown; step children David Klitzsch, Angela and
husband Kevin Etcheson, Kimberly Williams, and Jennifer Voris and
fiancé Kenneth Wheeler; siblings Carroll Ray Ward, Travis Ward,
Susie Plunk, Mary Ellen Caraway, and Barbara Plunk; grandchildren
Austin Long, Ryan Ward, Rebecca Ward, Kyle Rolfingsmeier, Crystal
Batican, Andelyn Klitzch, Kolton Etcheson, Zach Burden, and Katlin
Wheeler; great grandchildren Sylic and Syrhyn Batican.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Carissa Diane
Ward, and brothers William "Isaac" Ward, Harold Ward, and Wayne
Ward.
