Roger Beck's Obituary
Roger A. Beck, 71, of Mulberry Grove, IL, passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at HSHS holy Family Hospital in Greenville.
Per Roger’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. There will be no services at this time. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com.
Roger Allen Beck was born on November 13, 1953 in Vandalia, IL, the son of David Pope and Lavone Pearl (Paradee) Beck. He married Cristina Joanne Mays on November 25, 1995. Together, they shared nearly 30 years of marriage.
Throughout the years, Roger worked for various businesses, including John Deere and Wehrle Bros. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved farming, hunting, and fishing. Roger also enjoyed working on tractors and four-wheelers, and he had a special love for watching westerns, with a particular favorite being Gunsmoke.
Mr. Beck is survived by his wife, Cristina “Tina” Beck of Mulberry Grove; daughter, Amanda Steiner and husband Jason of Vandalia; step-son, Steven Dunn of Shobonier; grandchildren, Lynn Heit and husband Michael of Shobonier, Adriana Day of Ramsey, and Anthony Steiner of Vandalia; brothers, Raymond Beck and wife Bev of Pana and Bernard Beck of Bingham; sisters, Margie Beck of Assumption, Sharon Haisley of Ramsey, and Glenda Bolyard of Bingham; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Beverly.
