Roger L. Mosley, 66, of Vandalia, IL, passed away the morning of Friday, August 04, 2023 at his home.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 09, 2023 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia with Bishop Thomas Suey and Pastor Jereme Suey officiating. Interment will follow in McInturff Cemetery, rural Vandalia. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Tuesday, August 08, 2023 at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Wednesday. Roger Lynn Mosley was born on February 01, 1957 in Vandalia, IL, the son of Robert Sterling Mosley & Geraldine Doris (Largent) Mosley Hipsher. He married Donna Young and together they had three children.
Roger was employed as a truck driver for Sherwin-Williams in Effingham for many years. He had an avid love for building furniture and woodworking, riding his motorcycle, and anything outdoors.
He is survived by his sons, Roger Mosley Jr. of Vandalia, Marcus Mosley of Tulsa, OK, and Cary Hulskotter; daughter, Monica Mosley of Oklahoma City, OK; brother, Robert “Bob” Mosley of Mulberry Grove; sisters, Doris & husband Ed Young of St. Peter, Linda Dugan & husband James Hejl of Vandalia, Donna & husband Kevin Knebel of Vandalia; grandchildren, Benjamin, Caroline, Colton, Zachary, and Delilah; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents; son, Jeremy Mosley; and daughter, Cori Mosley.
