Stepping back many years I first remember Ronnie at The Saddle Club on route 185.
I have fond memories making homemade Ice Cream, his enjoyment planting flowers, his humor. Always a gentleman.

I remember an Elam family Christmas gathering in the late 70s or early 80s at Uncle Donnie and Aunt Dee's house. Uncle Ronnie and I were sitting across from each other in the basement, in between us was a small table loaded with Grandma Elam's homemade Christmas candy. It was about 10 minutes from dinnertime and all the women were bringing the food down from the kitchen. Everyone had been warned to keep out of the sweets until after dinner. Aunt Neva noticed someone had been into the candy and asked "Who's been eating this stuff?" Uncle Ronnie replied, "Not I, said the rat!" As Aunt Neva turned to go up the stairs, Uncle Ronnie wiped his mouth! (So did I!) I will always remember Uncle Ronnie's sense of humor, his big heart, and the love he had for his family. I'm going to miss him, but I know I'll see the deacon again some day! Love to Aunt Millie and Brian and family. May God bless and keep you. -Mark and Janette, Pea Ridge, Arkansas.
