Rotha Walton's Obituary
Rotha L. Walton, 88, of Vandalia passed away at 6:50am,
Saturday, March 16, 2013 at FCH Long Term Care, Vandalia, IL.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30am, Wednesday, March 20,
2013 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL with Rev. Pete
LeDuc officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn
Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30am,
Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home,
Vandalia, IL. Memorials may be made to Crown Point Community
Church or Alzheimer's Association, Central Illinois Chapter (Peoria
Office, 606 W. Glen Ave., Peoria, IL 61614).
Rotha was born December 29, 1924 in Mulberry Grove, the daughter
of Ira and Bernice (Wright) Reavis. She married Burl "Dean"
Walton on February 24, 1953 in Ramsey, IL. She worked at the
Johnson, Stephens & Shinkle Shoe Factory. Rotha was also
a member of Crown Point Community Church.
She is survived by her husband Burl "Dean" Walton of Vandalia;
bother Ray Reavis and wife Marlyn of Pekin, IL; and sister Jean and
husband Charles Smith of Pekin, IL. She was preceded in death
by her parents and brother Jay Reavis.
