Ruby Pyle's Obituary
Ruby G. "Jerry" Curran Pyle, 82, of Shobonier, IL passed away at
11:45pm, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at St. John's Hospital,
Springfield, IL.
A Graveside Service and Interment will be held at 10:30am,
Monday, March 16, 2015 at Vernon/Tillman Cemetery, Vernon, IL with
Rev. Joe Lawson officiating.  Memorials may be made to Second
Chance Animal Rescue or the National Kidney Foundation.  Hohlt
& File Funeral Home of Vandalia is in charge of
arrangements.
Ruby was born November 1, 1932 at home in Kaskaskia Twp. Fayette
County, the daughter of Thomas C. and Louise E. (House)
Curran.  She married James N. Pyle on November 3, 1951. 
She was an accomplished seamstress for 25 years before going to
work for Lyle Ballance, Supervisor of Assessments. She retired to
have a kidney transplant in 1995.  She was also an elected
township assessor.  Ruby was a member of the Vernon United
Methodist Church until it closed; she then went to the Luster
Chapel United Methodist Church to play the piano.  She lived
most of her life in Stringtown, rural Shobonier.
She is survived by her husband Jim Pyle of Shobonier, and was
preceded in death by her parents.
