Ruby Robinson Rickman Meadows' Obituary
Mrs. Ruby N. Robinson Rickman Meadows, 80, of Mulberry Grove
passed away at 10:45am, Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Friendship
Manor of St. Elmo. 
Services will be held at 11:00am, Monday, December 9, 2013 at
Central Christian Church in Greenville, IL with the Rev. Tom Plog
officiating.  Burial will follow in McInturff Cemetery,
Hagarstown.  Visitation will be held from 5-7pm, Sunday,
December 8, 2013 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL abd
1 hour prior to services at the church on Monday. 
Ruby was born May 4, 1933 in Hood Co. TX, the daughter of
William and Gertrude (Godfrey) Phillips.  She first married
Lloyd Robinson and together they had three sons, he preceded her in
death on January 23, 1974; she married James Rickman and he
preceded her in death on July 25, 1984; she then married Robert
Meadows on February 16, 1985 at the Vandalia Senior Citizens
Center.  Throughout her life Ruby worked as a Nurse's Aide at
Fayette County Hospital; she worked at Walgreens Pharmacy in
downtown Vandalia; and later in life was a homemaker.  She was
a member of Central Christian Church of Greenville, IL and Country
Echoes Music Club of Pittsburg, IL.  She enjoyed music and
camping; she loved her family and her church family and she
treasured everyone around her.
Ruby is survived by her husband Robert Meadows of Mulberry
Grove, IL; sons Don Robinson and wife LaNae of Slidell, LA, Jim
Robinson and wife Deb of Vernon, IL, and Tom Robinson and wife
Darla of Mulberry Grove, IL; step sons Dan Rickman and wife Becky
of Junction City, KS, Mike Rickman and wife Connie of Vandalia, IL,
David Rickman and wife Fran of Vandalia, IL, Kevin Rickman and wife
Rhonda of Vandalia, IL, Ed Rickman and wife Shelia of Mulberry
Grove, IL, Keith Meadows and wife Anita of Vandalia, IL, and Steven
Meadows and wife Jackie of Wylie, TX; step daughters Rosie and
husband Mike Beckett of Vandalia, IL, Phyllis Morrison of Salem,
IL, Denise and husband Jim Elders of Lubbock, TX, and Valerie and
husband Loren Frakes of Vandalia, IL; brother Ernie Phillips and
wife Jewel of Indiana; sisters Betty and husband Chuck Iuan of
California and Cathy and husband Jim Vouchell of Texas; and many
grandchildren, great grandchildren, and step grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Lloyd
Robinson; husband James Rickman; sister Faye Phillips; step sons
Tiff Rickman, Bill Rickman, and Jim Rickman Jr.
