Ryan Cunningham's Obituary
Ryan Allen Cunningham, 30, of Vandalia, passed away at 9:33pm,
Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Carle Foundation Hospital, Urbana,
IL.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, November
12, 2014 at First Baptist Church of Vandalia with Rev. Robert
Weaver officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery,
Vandalia. Memorials may be made to a trust that is set up for
Ryan's daughter, Layla Cunningham, at Land of Lincoln Credit Union
in Vandalia.
Ryan was born June 14, 1984 in Vincennes, IN, the son of Allen
Cunningham and Kathy (Walston) Cunningham. Ryan was a
paramedic for Fayette County Hospital in Vandalia; he served in the
US Army 620th Battalion St. Louis, MO and was a member
of the Brownstown VFW Post 9770. Ryan enjoyed motocross
racing, being with his friends and being a father to his girls.
He is survived by his mother Kathy Cunningham of Olney; father
Allen Cunningham of Albion; daughter Layla Cunningham of Vandalia;
sister Hanna and husband Michael Griggs of Olney; brother Jerimy
Cunningham of West Salem; maternal grandparents James and Nellie
Walston of Mt. Carmel; girlfriend and mother to Layla, Aubrey Harre
of Vandalia; Layla's big sister Emma Smith of Vandalia; and many
uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents Tommy and
Belle Cunningham.
