Sara Gable's Obituary
Sara M. Gable, 58, of Shobonier, IL, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025 at her home with her husband by her side.
Per Sara’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Metro Community Church – Vandalia. Online condolences can be expressed at www.hohltandfilefh.com.
Sara Marie Pyle was born on October 14, 1966 in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Ronald Lee Pyle and Wilma “Charlene” (Sullivan) Cripe. She married Michael Allen Gable on August 10, 2007. Together they celebrated 18 years of marriage.
Throughout her life, Sara worked at various places, including Charlie’s Redwood and Wehrle Bros., and most recently served as a receptionist at South Central F.S. Tire Service. She found joy in the beauty of God’s creation, often watching sunrises, sunsets, and clouds. Sara had a green thumb, enjoying gardening and all types of flowers. She also loved riding motorcycles and traveling with her husband. Her love for dogs was evident as she welcomed any that came to her home. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Sara was also a devoted member of Metro Community Church.
She will forever be remembered by her husband, Mike Gable of Shobonier; son, Zachary Pyle and wife Tammy of Mulberry Grove; son, Caleb Cromer of Huntington, IN; mother, Charlene Cripe of Ramsey; brother, Ronald “Bubba” Pyle and wife Amy of Seymour, TN; step-sister, Amanda Cole and husband Shannon of Ramsey; step-brother, Cassidy Cripe of Gallatin, TN; grandchildren, Jessica Pyle, Damieon Bone, Flaggan Pyle, Courtney Bone, Billy Bone, Summer Langham, Trenton Stines, Grant Cromer, and Arlo Cromer; great-grandchildren, Clover Bone and Lil Billy Bone; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Sara was preceded in death by her father; sister, Regina Radcliff; and step-father, Jerry Cripe.
