Sharon K. Davis, 64, of Brownstown, IL, passed away the evening of Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at her home, surrounded by family.
In accordance with Sharon’s wishes, cremation rites will take place. A Graveside Service and Interment will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery, Vera with Pastor Timothy Landskroener officiating. Sharon Kay Porter was born on July 21, 1958 in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Dale Leon and Geneva Marie (Drewes) Porter. She married Michael Lee Davis on May 07, 2007; together they celebrated nearly 16 years of marriage.
Sharon was employed by Brockway for most of her life. She enjoyed coloring, doing puzzles, crocheting, and taking care of her many plants. Most of all, Sharon cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband, Michael Davis of Brownstown; daughter, Jennifer & husband Jason Oglesby of Decatur; sons, Caleb Porter of Vandalia and Michael John Davis of Patoka; brothers, Terry Porter of Vandalia, Larry Porter & wife Doris and Dale Porter Jr. & wife Pat, both of Alabama; sisters, Barbara Tompkins of Vandalia and Mary & husband Jim Maske of St. Peter; grandchildren, Austin Smith of Brownstown, Alex Stokes & Brison Spindler of Kentucky, Alexis Stokes & Clayton Edwards of Kentucky, Ashlyn Porter of Ramsey, Adam Stokes of Ramsey, Mason Porter of Blue Mound, Landon Porter of Blue Mound, Max Porter of Vandalia, Iris Porter of Vandalia, Alex Davis of Greenville, and Blake Davis of Greenville; great-grandchildren, Jaxson, Jovi, Amelia, and Daxson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Peggy LaPointe, Rita Stevenson, and Lori Work; grandson, Michael Stokes; and great-grandson, Michael Edwards.
