Sharon Summann's Obituary
Sharon Kay Summann, 69, of rural Shobonier passed away at
5:59pm, Friday, June 3, 2016 at her home.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00am, Monday, June 6,
2016 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia with Rev. Robert Weaver
officiating. Memorials may be made to the family of Sharon
Summann or Unity Baptist Church.
Sharon was born December 20, 1946 in Vandalia, the daughter of
Jesse and Denise (Diveley) Etchason. She married Wayne
Summann on June 20, 1965; together she and Wayne raised their 3
sons. Sharon worked at Ron's Greenhouse in Shobonier for 35
years and was a member of Unity Baptist Church, formerly First
Baptist Church of Vandalia where she was active in the church choir
and taught 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade
Sunday School.
Sharon is survived by her husband Wayne Summann of Shobonier,
sons Harold Summann and wife Aimee of Vandalia, Greg Summann and
wife Leslie of Bullhead City, AZ, and Steve Summann of Bluff City,
sisters Sandy and husband Merlin Roach and Karen "Jeannie" and
husband Steve Brungard both of Vandalia, and seven
grandchildren.
