Shelby Wheatley's Obituary
Shelby Mae Wheatley, 17, of Effingham formerly of Vandalia
passed away on August 25, 2015.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00am, Saturday, August 29,
2015 at Northside Christian Church in Vandalia with Rev. Carl
Rhodes officiating. Visitation will be held from
9:00-11:00am, Saturday also at the church. Per Shelby's
family's wishes her body will be cremated following services
Saturday. Burial of the cremated remains will be held at a
later date. Memorials may be made to the family of Shelby
Wheatley.
Shelby was born October 26, 1997, the daughter of Timothy
Wheatley and Courtney Swick. She grew up in Vandalia and was
a former student at Vandalia High School. Shelby loved
anything girly from hair and makeup and wearing dresses to doing
her nails, she aspired to be a cosmetologist one day.
Shelby will forever be loved and missed by her mother Courtney
Swick of Vandalia; step father Donald Roberts of Vandalia; paternal
grandparents Michael and Alice Wheatley of Vandalia; maternal
grandparents Gary and wife Patsy Swick of Vandalia and Melissa
Swick with Dudley Porter of Moweaqua; brothers Donald Roberts Jr.
and Brody Roberts; sisters Morgan Rexford and Alexia
Wheatley-McNeely; and her many family members and friends.
Shelby was preceded in death by her father Timothy Wheatley.
