Stella L. Rogers, 72, of Alma, IL, formerly of Vandalia, passed away at 11:10 AM, Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Odin Healthcare Center.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00PM, Saturday, September 09, 2023 at the Kinmundy Community Center (104 W 3rd St, Kinmundy, IL 62854). A dinner will begin at 2:00PM with activities in memory of Stella to follow. Memorial donations may be made to Warrior Nation Cancer Foundation. Stella Louise White was born on June 01, 1951 in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Raymond J. & Dorothy L. (Rufus) White. In her younger years, Stella worked various jobs. She then became a stay-at-home mother; taking care of her three children. Stella loved listening to music, singing karaoke, and playing cards with family and friends. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her children and grandchildren.
Ms. Rogers is survived by her sons, James Rogers of Salem and Donald Rogers of Alma; daughter, Rebecca & husband James Karrick of Alma; brother, Edmond “Eddie” White of Shobonier; sister, Patricia “Patty” Swofford of Mulberry Grove; grandchildren, James, Dakota, Mercedes, Isabella, Jarod, Brooke, Quadden, Shaelee, & C.J; and great-grandchildren, Mya, Connor, Ayla, Skylynn, Landon, Zaylie, Wyatt, Piper, Haylie, Lili, Allison, October, Valentina, Pazley, Malorie, Angelynn, & Blake.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jerry, Arthur, Ray, Dickie, Robert, Bob, Charles, & Raymond Jr. White; sisters, Carol Currie, Donna Lister & Beverly Brewbaker; grandson, Dalton Wayne Rogers; and great-granddaughter, Emerson Kay Rozkiewicz.
