Terri Davison's Obituary
Terri Lynette Davison, 63, of Vandalia, passed away from injuries sustained in an accident on Sunday, May 28, 2023.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 3, 2023 at Unity Baptist Church (716 County Rd 1700 N, Vandalia, IL 62471 – Corner of Airport Rd and HWY 185) with Rev. Joe Lawson officiating.
Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM, Friday, June 2, 2023 at Unity Baptist Church, Vandalia and one hour prior to services at the church Saturday. A Private Interment will follow the funeral service in Fairlawn Cemetery, Vandalia. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice. Terri Lynette Vaughn was born October 15, 1959, in Vandalia, the daughter of Wilbert and Marcia (Rhoades) Vaughn. She married Charles E. “Chuck” Davison on March 19, 1983; together they shared over 13 years of marriage and had two children before his death on May 10, 1996.
Terri was employed by Vandalia Elementary School as a secretary for over 25 years; but she was much more than a secretary; she was the glue that held the school together. When she wasn’t working, she was spending time with her grandkids and family; she loved to travel, whether it be on vacation or just a trip to the woods to mushroom hunt. Terri was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals; she loved horses and the color purple.
She is survived by her parents, Wilbert and Marcia Vaughn of Brownstown; son, Kyle Davison and wife Heather of Brownstown; daughter, Kristin and husband Matthew Osorio of Ft. Campbell, KY; step daughter, Jenni and husband Kenny Warner of St. Elmo; grandchildren, Kenzie Davison, age 5, of Brownstown, Taylon, Osorio, age 14, Myles Osorio, age 12, Ana Osorio, age 7, Elena Osorio, age 2, all of Ft. Campbell, KY, DJ Warner and wife Diana of Ramsey, Nicholas Warner of St. Elmo; great grandchildren, Raelynn Warner, age 4, Greyson Warner, age 3, and Jaedyn Warner, age 3 months, all of Ramsey; sister, Karen Vaughn-Kerns and husband Russel Kerns of Trinity, FL; nieces, Alexandra Kerns of NY City, NY, Emily Kerns of Madison, WI, and Erin Kerns of Salem, OR; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; grandparents, Bartlett and Louise Rhoades, and Ada Henna; father and mother-in-law, Phil and Gert Davison.
