Terri Sutton's Obituary
Terri L. Sutton, 66, of Vandalia, IL, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at her home, surrounded by family.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Unity Baptist Church with Pastor Eddie Duke officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:00-11:00 AM, Saturday, at the church. Per Terri’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded following services. Terri Lynn Morice was born July 21, 1958, the daughter of Robert and Edith (Hall) Morice. She married Thomas Joseph Sutton February 24, 1996, and together they shared nearly thirty years of marriage and raised two sons. Terri was a Human Resources Director for Fayette County Hospital and a former teacher at the Vandalia Christian Academy. Terri was a member of Unity Baptist Church; she loved reading, baking, crafts, and her pets.
Mrs. Sutton is survived by her husband, Thomas Sutton of Vandalia; mother, Edith Elliott of Vandalia; sons, Thomas Sutton II of Vandalia and Tyler Sutton with Anna Lowery of Aurora; siblings, Barbara and husband Noel Martin of St. Louis, MO, John Morice of Washington, MO, Rogers Morice of Henderson, NV, and Michelle Buechting of Festus, MO.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Morice, and her stepfather, George Elliott.
