Timmy Hicks' Obituary
Timothy “Timmy” Joe Hicks, 58, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 10:18 PM, Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at home surrounded by family.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at Crown Point Church, rural Vandalia with Rev. Pete LeDuc officiating. Interment will follow in Farmers Cemetery, Shobonier. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at the church. Memorials may be made to Hohlt and File Funeral Home to help with expenses.
Timothy Joe Hicks was born on November 16, 1961 in Litchfield, IL, the son of Floyd E. and Betty J. (Robertson) Hicks Sr. Timmy had an avid love for all animals, but especially his dog, Chewie. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, riding his lawn mower and bicycle, and occasionally fishing. He was affiliated with Crown Point Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Ritchey; brothers, Randy Hicks and special friend Patsy Tinker, Terry Hicks and wife Sherry, Michael Hicks and wife Cyndi, Howard Hicks and wife Ashley, Brian Robertson and wife Christy, and Floyd Hicks III; sisters, Cheryl and husband Edward “Brian” Tedrick, Mary McNealy, Tonya Hicks, Tina Bennish, Jennifer and husband Jason Hill, and Michelle and husband Richard Temples; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Floyd “Butch” Hicks Jr. and Patrick Hicks; and sister, Alma Torbeck.
