Todd was a great guy and never failed to surprise me with either his humor or taste in music. His life ended too soon, may his story be sung for a generation.

I graduated with Todd..I just spoke to him a couple of years ago b4 my Hubby passed..He sounded the same with a splash of Maturity..Does anyone remember when him and Chris looked crazy for their School Pics..? Or when he shaved his head..? Omg never a dull moment..

I am ashamed to say I haven't seen Todd for 30+ years, but am proud to say he was one of my best friends growing up. I spent many a day after school at Terry and Gwen's house hanging out with Todd and Christina and visited them many times after they moved from Niantic to Michigantown. We would play with his dog Bojik and listen to Ted Nugent albums. I saw MTV for the first time at Todd's house. Todd amazed with his musical talents. He could play a song on the piano after just hearing it on the radio. He was a master on drums jamming with Chris and Doug. He was one of the funniest guys I have even known and always quick with the wit. I remember him presenting Principal Turner with the Nobel Prize after the bell system broke our senior year at NHHS and they had to blow an air horn to signal when classes were over. Todd organized decorating the senior hall with American flags during the Iran hostage crisis. I have many great memories of Christopher Todd Buckley and although I have not seen him for many years, I will certainly miss my friend.

Todd Buckley. Whenever his name was mentioned you began to smile. Because you just knew there was going to either be a hilarious story behind it, or the mention of an act of kindness that he showed. The Todd I knew was kind, compassionate,and loyal, with an unbeatable sense of humor.
And he will be greatly missed.

This is about the 20th time I've started this. It gets entirely too long filled with great memories of a bunch of friends and our children enjoying life together. But to keep it brief, let me try to focus just on Todd. It has been about three years since I have seen him but we communicated at times on FB and Messenger. I never doubted for a moment that Todd cared for us deeply (Daryl, me and our kids). He always asked about our kids and spoke about them with such adoration. Todd was a trustworthy friend and I never really heard him speak ill of another person much or divulge information with which he had been trusted. He was funny at times and challenging at other times but you never had to wonder where he stood. He had conviction and was a spiritual person which I attribute to his mother who he loved so deeply. I'll miss sharing recipes and talking about Food Network with him. I'll miss reading about his crazy dreams and sharing with him some of mine. I'll miss hearing Daryl and him talking on the phone and laughing until they can't catch their breath. I'll miss all the clever parody songs and song ideas. Most of all, I'll miss the piece of Daryl that will be gone because Todd's departure has left a hole in his heart that a wife can't fix. We are supposed to feel grateful for the time we have on this earth with each person and I am. I just wish it could have been a little longer.
Rest in peace my young friend from Niantic, Illinois. You were more than a friend to me. What a pleasure it was when I was with you. Bright, cheerful at all times. Working at the Frankfort Times newspaper with you by my side was an experience of a lifetime. Love you my great friend.
I just learned that I have a carbon footprint of .91 lbs of carbon dioxide/mile! That is an estimated 71 pounds of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere during my trip down there to bury my buddy.
I know it's tough on the environment, but I'm gonna go.
(and I promise not to throw anything out my car window that can't be recycled.)
