Tru La’Shon Frederick Lockett, 18 months, of Vandalia, IL, passed gently into the arms of the Lord on Friday, April 04, 2025.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 11, 2025 at Hohlt & File Funeral Home, Vandalia, IL with Patrice White officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 AM, Friday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children. Tru La’Shon Frederick Lockett was born on September 28, 2023, the son of Adrian Lockett and Lauren Nicole Canull.
Tru’s curly hair, smile, and contagious laugh would light up any room. He loved Disney movies, especially the movie Cars. He loved to dance, play with his toys, and play with his big brothers and sisters; he adored his older siblings. Tru loved to cuddle and nap with his Mommy, and was spoiled by his MawMaw and PawPaw.
He will forever be in the hearts of his mother, Lauren Canull; father, Adrian Lockett; siblings, Rylee, Ja’Kiah, Nikkei, Loyal, Ayden and Zayd’n; grandparents, Ed and Lisa Hobler; great-grandmother, Phyllis Gable; aunts, uncles and cousins, Raygan and Tanner Shelby, Lucas, Alexis and Aubree Gonzalez, Catherine and Ophelia Hobler; and many other family and friends.
