Verl Dean Dagg, 80, of Vandalia, IL passed away at 7:28 AM, Sunday, March 4, 2018 at his home.
Cremation rites will be accorded for Mr. Dagg. Memorials may be made to the Donor’s Choice.
Verl Dean Dagg was born May 19, 1937 in Bonnie, IL, the son of Gerald W. and Fannie Jane (Somers) Dagg. He was a Veteran serving in the United States Air Force. Verl married Joyce D. Taylor on August 2, 1987 in Decatur, IL. He was a retired welder and maintenance technician for Firestone (later Bridgestone) in Decatur. Verl was also a member of the Vandalia Moose Lodge #1447.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Dagg; sons, Lawrence Dagg and Dean Dagg; step-daughter, Kellie Monahan and husband Mike; brother, Lloyd Dagg and wife Sharon; and grandchildren, Kiralee Monahan and Jaz Monahan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Marvin Dagg; and sister, Melba Dagg.
