Wallace Bertram's Obituary
Wallace Dean Henry Bertram, 79, of Shobonier, passed away on
November 1, 2015 at Fayette County Hospital Long Term Care.
Services for Wally Bertram will be held at 10:00am, Thursday,
November 5, 2015 at Augsburg Immanuel Lutheran Church, Shobonier
with Pastor Josh Frazee officiating. Visitation will be held from
5:00-7:00pm, Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at Augsburg Immanuel
Lutheran Church, Shobonier and 1 hour prior to services at the
church Thursday. Burial will be in Augsburg Immanuel Lutheran
Church Cemetery with military rites accorded by Crawford-Hale
American Legion Post # 95, Vandalia and Brownstown VFW Post #9770.
Memorials may be made to Augsburg Immanuel Lutheran Church,
Shobonier or Disabled American Veterans Charity.
Wally was born September 10, 1936, the son of Walter Fred and
Irene Emma (Remmert) Bertram. He married Joyce Ann Denton on
October 17, 1959 at Augsburg Immanuel Lutheran Church. He
worked as a repairman for Illinois Bell Telephone and was a US Army
Veteran.
He is survived by his wife Joyce Ann Bertram of Shobonier;
daughters Tamela Lynn and husband Ken Wolff of Sikeston, MO, Dianna
Kay Grove of Vandalia, and Tina Marie and husband John Ashdown of
Vandalia; sister Marjorie and husband Vernon Krueger of Poquoson,
VA; grandchildren Craig Mason, Clint Mason, Kristin Grove, Matthew
Grove, Derek Ashdown, and Todd Ashdown; great grandchildren Clark
Parmenter and Brooke Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Larry Lee
Bertram.
