Walton E.E. Foster's Obituary
Walton Emmett Elea Foster, 5 months old, left the world in the arms of his parents to be with his Lord and Savior at 11:28 am, March 2, 2026.
Walton Emmett Elea Foster was born at 5:16 am on October 2, 2025 in Effingham, Illinois to Alexander and Stacy (Boaz) Foster.
Walton was born a fighter. Upon his birth they discovered a mass on his left thigh which was diagnosed as Infantile Fibrosarcoma, a rare soft tissue cancer. He fought through many rounds of chemotherapy, bouts of sickness and acute liver failure. After 5 months of fighting, his little body succumbed to the hardships and suffered a large stroke.
Through every poke, treatment, test, and surgery he always had a smile. Even while sick he was happy in some way. He was the happiest baby even through his 5-month battle with cancer. Walton brought joy to everyone he encountered. Always sharing his joyful smile with everyone, leaving them wondering how he could be so happy while going through what he did.
Walton had just found his voice, squealing and hollering, which made it very easy to make new friends. He enjoyed sitting in his chair playing with his friends at daycare. He loved being around his big sister, cuddles, being held for long periods of time, watching dancing fruit on the television and grabbing anything he could get his hands on. He was loved by all who met him. He has left an everlasting impression on every single person he met.
Walton was truly a light, larger than life little guy. His smile could light up an entire room and was an absolute joy to be around. It is truly a great honor to his parents to be blessed with him as their little boy. He was the most beautiful boy, and will be missed beyond measure.
Walton is survived by his parents, Alexander and Stacy Foster of Vandalia; big sister, Millie Chrisman of Vandalia; grandparents, Bruce Boaz Jr. and Gena Kulesza of Vandalia, Tim and Robin Shipley of Vandalia, Bill and Cheryl Foster of Vandalia; great-grandparents, Bruce and Danyele Boaz of Brownstown, Floyd and Joann Hopkins of Ramsey; many aunts, uncles, cousins and bonus family.
