Wilbert J. Miller, 86, of Ramsey, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 07, 2025 at Vandalia Healthcare and Senior Living.
Per Wilbert’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life will be held at 12:00, noon, Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Ramsey Christian Church. In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to Fayette County Health Department Home Health & Hospice or to the American Cancer Society. Wilbert Junior Miller was born on February 4, 1939, in Carson Township, Fayette County, Illinois, to Wilbert Archie Miller and Beulah Mardel (Gelsinger) Miller-Murphy. On August 25, 1957, he married his beloved wife, Theresa Pauline Younker. Together, they were blessed with one son and shared 68 wonderful years of marriage. Wilbert worked as a heavy machine operator at various stone quarries throughout the area. He also found great joy in farming and raising hogs. Wilbert dedicated his life to his work, but to him, it was never just a job—it was his passion, and he cherished every moment of it.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Theresa Miller of Ramsey, nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lance Leroy Miller; and brothers, Leo Miller and Carl Miller.
