William "Bill" Rickman's Obituary
William Joseph "Bill" Rickman, 62, of Vandalia, died on Tuesday,
Jan. 10, 2012, at his home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m.
on Friday at Fairlawn Cemetery in Vandalia, with the Rev. Joe
Lawson officiating. There is no visitation. Hohlt & File
Funeral Home in Vandalia was in charge of arrangements. Memorials:
William Rickman benefit account at First National Bank in
Vandalia.
Mr. Rickman was born on March 2, 1949, in St. Louis, Mo., the son
of James R. and Alice Knowlton Rickman.
He was a former employee of World Color Press in Salem, and was a
past member of Vandalia Moose Lodge No. 1447 and Vandalia Eagles
Lodge No. 3901. He served in the Navy.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth Rickman and his wife Kara of Smith
Station, Ala.; daughter, Sonia and her husband, Chad Wehrle of
Vandalia; grandchildren, Shyann and Summer Rickman of Smith
Station, Ala., and Kayla, Radley and Rainey Wehrle of Vandalia;
brothers, James Rickman and his wife Norma of Vandalia, Dan Rickman
and his wife Becky of Junction City, Kan., Mike Rickman and his
wife Connie of Vandalia, David Rickman and his wife Fran of
Vandalia, Kevin Rickman and his wife Rhonda of Vandalia, and Ed
Rickman and his wife Sheila of Mulberry Grove; sister, Rosie and
her husband Mike Beckett of Vandalia; sister-in-law, Linda Rickman;
and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Tiffney
Rickman; and infant brother, Thomas Rickman.
