Wynona Schumacher's Obituary
Wynona I. Schumacher, 87, of Vandalia formerly of Sidney, IL
died peacefully at 11:26am, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at Hits
Memorial Home in Alhambra, IL.
A service will be held for family at a later date with a burial
in Saint Johns Cemetery, Broadlands, IL. Memorials may be
made to the charity of the donor's choosing and will be received by
the funeral home.
Wynona I. Schumacher was born July 26, 1927 in Octa, Dunklin
County, Missouri, the daughter of H.P. and Oleen (Fuzzell)
Mayberry. She married Ralph Schumacher on June 14, 1953; he
preceded her in death July 3, 1993. Wynona worked as a
telephone operator after high school and was a wife, mother, and
homemaker in later years. She was a member of the Broadlands
Methodist Church before moving to Vandalia. While in Vandalia
she took great pride in working in her yard and maintaining a
charming home.
Wynona is survived by her son Keith E. Schumacher and wife Cheri
of Mason City, IL; daughter Karen O. and husband John Pruett of
Pocahontas, IL; grandson Thomas Pruett and wife Amy Ropesville, TX;
granddaughters Taylor and husband Jackson Nolen of Edwardsville,
Trish Pruett and Tara Pruett both of Pocahontas, Megan Schumacher
of Springfield, and Katie Schumacher of Mason City; and great
grandchildren Madison and Mitchell Pruett both of Ropesville,
TX.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother J.W.
Mayberry and sister Dorothy Brown.
